The ADDIE Model is a foundational framework used by instructional designers and training developers. ADDIE stands for Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate.
Traditionally, this model is very linear and hierarchal. I've only ever had it taught as a straight line, tasks moving in one direction. More and more IDs have been updating the this framework though, making it more adaptable for modern instructional design. I have created my own graphic for this version:

No longer a straight line, Evaluate has pride of place in the center. It encourages designers to evaluate throughout the entire design process, giving a fluidity to the framework that it lacked before.
I'm interested to know what model you use. Do you use a more linear design or are you open to changes throughout the process?
