A Long Walk to Water was a must read since my son read it in school a few years ago. It is a fantastic and often times heart wrenching tale of a young boy's survival. Based on a true story of one boy's unexpected journey far from his family and home he loved. It carries the powerful lesson of how hardships can pave the way to good if we choose to let it.
A very quick read (finished in one sitting), it is a story of perseverance and never losing hope, even in the darkest of circumstances. Great for all readers, old and young. Lots and lots of tears with this one.
